Cookies and storage

The three keys

trailsensors.age

Holds Your answer to the age question.

Written When you click yes.

Kept Until you clear site data.

trailsensors.bar

Holds Closed, or allowed.

Written When you choose in the storage bar.

Kept Until you clear site data.

trailsensors.note

Holds Your guest card.

Written When you save a card.

Kept Until you delete the card.

Consent Mode, before anything else

The first script on every page sets four signals to denied before anything else loads: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. Allow switches them to granted; Keep it off leaves them as they started.

If analytics were switched on

Google Analytics 4 would set _ga and a cookie starting _ga_, kept for up to two years. Google Ads would set _gcl_au for ninety days. None of them exists on this site today, and none would appear without Allow.

Changing your mind

Storage settings, in the footer of every page, opens the bar again. You can also clear this site's data in your browser, or block local storage altogether. The site still works; it simply asks the age question on each page.

What isn't here

No social pixels, no fingerprinting, no session recording and no fonts loaded from outside while you read.
