Who runs this site, what it learns about you when you read it (very little), and what Swiss law lets you do about it.
Who is responsible
Trail & Sensor, Via da Marias 12, 7514 Sils/Segl Maria, Graubünden, Switzerland, runs this website and the hotel. Questions about your data go to [email protected] and are answered by the manager.
Reading the site
Reading here leaves us with no idea who you are. The web server keeps an ordinary log of each request (address, time, page and browser string) for fourteen days, to deal with faults and abuse, and then deletes it.
What your browser keeps
Two values in your browser's local storage, each written only when you click something:
- trailsensors.age holds your answer to the age question, so it isn't asked on every page.
- trailsensors.bar holds your answer in the storage bar: closed if you kept measurement off, allowed if you let it run.
If you make a guest card, a third value, trailsensors.note, holds what you typed into it. It stays on your device. Nothing in this site sends it anywhere.
What the site doesn't have
No booking engine, no payments and no accounts on our side. No social media buttons, and no fonts or scripts fetched from other companies while you read.
Measurement, only if you allow it
Every page starts with all measurement signals set to denied. If analytics are ever added, they run only after you choose Allow in the storage bar, and the footer lets you change that at any time.
Email and phone calls
If you write or call, the conversation is kept for as long as your stay needs it and Swiss bookkeeping rules require, which is ten years for records tied to an invoice. Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed on for marketing.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) of 25 September 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it's used. If you think we've got it wrong, you can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern.
Children
The site is meant for people of 18 and over, and we don't knowingly collect anything about children.
When this page changes
The date at the bottom changes with it. Bigger changes are also noted on the front page for a month.

Play at Trail & Sensor happens in one cellar room and nowhere else. The Sensor Room takes no bets online, keeps no player accounts and moves no money through this website.
